Description
Heavy Duty Ladle Transfer Cars/Carts/Trolleys are special transfer vehicles used for molten metal, steel ladle, hot slag ladle, and furnace-to-casting material transport. Compared with ordinary transfer carts, ladle transfer cars need stronger frame structure, heat-resistant protection, reliable transmission, and stable electrical control to meet high-temperature and high-safety working conditions.
The main function of a ladle transfer car is to transfer molten steel or molten iron from the furnace area to casting, forging, refining, or pouring stations. It is suitable for steel mills, foundries, metallurgical workshops, and slag transfer applications where hot liquid metal or high-temperature slag must be moved safely and smoothly.
Heavy Duty Ladle Transfer Cars for Molten Metal Transport
This series includes two main power supply options: KPD rail powered ladle transfer cart and KPX battery powered ladle transfer cart. The rail powered type is suitable for fixed-route ladle transportation with low-voltage rail power supply, while the battery powered type is suitable when flexible power supply is required and the site does not rely only on rail power.
The transfer car can be equipped with heat-insulating materials to resist high temperature. The starting and stopping speed is controlled to help reduce spilling risk during steel or slag transfer. A double transmission system can also be adopted, so that if one transmission set fails, the other set can support the process cycle.
For selection, please confirm load capacity, platform size, gauge, power supply mode, ladle diameter, ladle height, ladle placement, working temperature, running distance, rail condition, safety protection requirement, and whether refractory bricks, heat-insulating materials, or automatic parking limit switches are required.
