Description
Freestanding Workstation Bridge Crane Overview
Freestanding Workstation Bridge Crane operates independently of building columns or runway beams and can be installed directly on the workshop floor. It requires only a simple foundation, such as C30 concrete with thickness greater than 150mm, helping reduce structural requirements for new facilities and making it easier to add, dismantle or relocate the crane system in existing workshops.
The modular design and enclosed track structure help prevent dust accumulation along the runway and support smooth, low-resistance movement. The smooth rail surface and optimized trolley design help reduce noise, improve operating efficiency and support cleaner workshop material handling.
This type of workstation crane is suitable for assembly lines, production workstations, maintenance areas, logistics handling zones and other industrial applications where light to medium-duty lifting is required. It can be combined with electric chain hoists, intelligent lifting devices or other suitable lifting mechanisms according to the handling requirement.
Main Types of Freestanding Workstation Bridge Crane
Single Girder Freestanding Workstation Bridge Crane: The single girder type is composed of a truss-style steel runway and standardized auxiliary components. The truss design allows greater load capacity and span of the main girder, while providing flexibility for installation layout and future expansion. It is typically paired with an electric chain hoist for efficient lifting operations.
Double Girder Freestanding Workstation Bridge Crane: The double girder type is assembled from standard straight track sections and modular components. It uses a dual parallel girder structure to enhance load-bearing capacity and is suitable for handling larger or heavier materials. The integrated double-girder trolley allows the electric hoist to be positioned between the two girders, helping maximize lifting height and improve vertical space utilization.
Headerless Freestanding Workstation Bridge Crane: The headerless type features a beam-free design, offering better space efficiency and layout flexibility compared with traditional overhead systems. It can operate under lower ceiling heights and reduce spatial restrictions caused by overhead beams. This design is suitable for production lines where different workstations require flexible lifting without interfering with overhead cranes above the system.
Aluminum Alloy Freestanding Workstation Bridge Crane: The aluminum alloy type uses a high-strength, one-piece extruded aluminum main beam. Compared with steel rails of similar capacity, the aluminum rail can be lighter and easier to operate. It offers smooth movement, reduced resistance, stable operation and good corrosion resistance, making it suitable for clean, lightweight and flexible workstation lifting applications.
