Container Straddle Carrier Overview
Container Straddle Carrier is suitable for ports, terminals and container yards. It is used for transporting containers from the front area to the yard, handling containers inside the yard, and supporting container loading and unloading operations.
The container straddle carrier is supported on rubber tires and can be powered by diesel generator, battery, or battery plus small power generator set hybrid power. According to the reference information, it is composed of a large vehicle mechanism, steering mechanism, gantry, power system, shock absorption and energy storage system, and special container spreader.
The equipment is designed for high efficiency, stable operation, reliable performance, wide operating range, good maneuverability and convenient maintenance. It can be equipped with steering functions such as straight line, inclined line and Ackerman steering. The electrical drive adopts full digital AC frequency conversion, PLC control and constant power speed regulation technologies for flexible control and high precision.
The container straddle carrier can also adopt sensing and monitoring systems to support automatic identification, positioning, movement, loading and unloading of heavy containers. Safety indication, overload protection, radar anti-collision, video monitoring, alarm and container anti-swing devices can be equipped according to operating requirements.
Electric Container Straddle Carrier
The electric version uses batteries as the power source. According to the reference information, it can provide zero emission during operation, lower noise, lower use cost, lower maintenance requirements, lower vibration and no diesel odor. It is suitable for container handling applications where cleaner operation and lower operating noise are required.
Diesel Container Straddle Carrier
The diesel version is designed according to the reference information with FEM design standards and finite element analysis during the design phase. It uses imported core components, advanced control technology and multiple steering modes. It can be operated by remote control or cab control and can run smoothly on compacted roads without the need to build tracks or pave concrete roads.
